PRIOR TO TULSA -- Was a two-year letterwinner at Garden City Community College . . . concluded her sophomore season as the top junior college power forward in the nation by the All-Star Girl's Report . . . led the team to a two year record of 45-23 . . . completed her career with 1,277 points and 483 rebounds, and held career averages of 19.1 points and 7.2 rebounds per game . . . connected on 53-percent of her field goal attempts and was 74-percent from the free-throw line . . . as a sophomore, she averaged 19.6 points and 8.3 rebounds per game, and finished with 568 points and 242 rebounds . . . was the conference's leading scorer and was named to the all-Region VI second team and to the all-conference third team . . . as a freshman, she averaged 18.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game and re-established the school's single-season records for points (709), free throws (179) and free throw attempts (240) . . . led Garden City CC to the school's first-ever conference title, regional championship, and advanced all the way to the NJCAA national tournament before posting a fourth-place finish with a 31-7 overall record . . . received honorable mention All-America honors and was also named to the NJCAA Tournament all-tournament team and to the all-Region VI first team . . . collected freshman of the year honors in her conference and was selected to the all-conference first team . . . junior college coach was Bobby Brasel. HIGH SCHOOL -- Was a three-year letterwinenr at San Antonio's East Central High School . . . earned first-team all-state, all-region, all-district and all-city accolades, and was named the City Player of the Year in San Antonio . . . averaged 22.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game and played in the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) all-star game during her senior season in 2001-02 . . . concluded her prep career as a three-time member of the all-region and all-district first teams and was named to the all-area first team twice, and to the second team as a sophomore . . . was also named to the all-state team as a junior . . . high school coach was Lashaundra Caesar.
