Women's Basketball Falls To No. 11 Louisiana Tech, 75-62

RUSTON, La. (AP) - Erica Smith scored 23 points and No. 11 Louisiana Tech extended its winning streak to 11 games with a 75-62 victory over Tulsa on Thursday night.
Tech (13-2, 6-0 Western Athletic Conference) won for the 139th consecutive time against an unranked opponent. The Lady Techsters improved their regular-season WAC record to 23-1, including 12-0 at home.
The Golden Hurricane (10-7, 5-1), who had won seven of their previous eight outings and had their six-game winning streak snapped, were led by conference scoring leader Allison Curtin's 26 points.
Smith shot 9-of-14 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line. Cheryl Ford
added 15 points and a career-high 20 rebounds and Tamaka Clay finished with 10
points.
