Tulsa, Okla. - Chanel Johnson and Larrissa Williams each registered a double-double to give Tulsa a 64-56 victory over Tulane on Thursday night at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. The Golden Hurricane moved to 9-11 overall and 5-2 in Conference USA, while the Green Wave fell to 11-9 on the year and 1-6 in the league.

Chassity Brown put Tulane on the board with a jumper and then hit a three-pointer just one minute later to give the Green Wave a 5-2 lead, their largest in the contest. Williams put in a lay up with 16:03 remaining in the first half to put TU ahead 6-5, and the Golden Hurricane never relinquished the lead, owning a 28-17 advantage at the break.

In the second half, Tulsa continued to inch ahead, taking a 19-point lead at the 14:46 mark, but Tulane went on an 18-2 run which spanned six minutes and 24 seconds to pull within three with 8:24 remaining in the game. The Green Wave, however, wouldn't get any closer as TU finished with an eight-point advantage.
