New Orleans, La. - Tatum Beer, Denise Lewis and Taleya Mayberry all scored in double digits, but it wasn't enough as Tulsa dropped a 73-62 decision to Tulane on Sunday afternoon at Fogelman Arena in New Orleans, La. The Golden Hurricane fell to 5-18 on the season and 1-14 in Conference USA, while the Green Wave moved to 20-8 overall and 9-6 in the league.

Beer had a team-leading 17 points, followed by Lewis with 16 and Mayberry with 15. Chanice Scott pulled down eight rebounds, while Lewis, Amanda Mason and Jermaine Kermis each had six boards. Scott had five assists and Lewis had two steals and a block.

The Golden Hurricane dominated the boards, out-rebounding the Green Wave, 40-29, but Tulane had an 11-7 advantage in steals and a 5-1 lead in blocks. Tulsa shot 36-percent from the field, 33-percent from behind the arc and 93-percent from the charity stripe.

Tulsa jumped out to a 6-0 advantage to start the contest, but Tulane went on a 10-2 run to take the lead with 16:31 on the clock. Less than a minute later Roshaunda Barnes hit a free throw, giving Tulane the lead, which they maintained for the remainder of the half. The Green Wave took a 37-27 advantage into the break.

Tulsa pulled to within nine in the second half, but couldn't overcome the first half deficit to five Tulane the 11-point victory.

The Green Wave was led by Danielle Nunn and Brittany Lindsey with 16 points each, while Tiffany Aidoo added 15 and Barnes had 12. Lindsey also picked up seven rebounds and four blocks, while Olivia Grayson had seven assists.

Tulsa will close out regular season action at home on Thursday, March 3rd against UTEP. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
