Final Stats

Tulsa, Oklahoma - Tatum Beer, Larrissa Williams and ReShawndra Jackson scored in double digits for the Tulsa women's basketball team on Wednesday, spurring TU to a 64-56 win over Missouri State at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. The Golden Hurricane moved to 2-0 on the season, while the Bears fell to 0-2.

Beer had a team-best 18 points, while Williams tallied 16 points and along with Chanel Johnson pulled down a team-leading seven boards apiece. Jackson added 10 points and four steals, and Chanice Scott put up three blocks in the contest.

MSU jumped out to a 6-0 lead, their biggest of the contest, to start the game, but TU battled back and tied it 12-all with 14:50 on the clock off a free throw from Jackson. Jackson's second free throw was also good to give the Golden Hurricane the lead that they would go on to maintain for the remaining of the contest.

Tulsa climbed to a 15-point game-high advantage with just over nine minutes to play in the first half after going on a 15-point run. The Bears would pull to within one twice in the second half, but TU held on for the eight-point victory.

The Golden Hurricane shot 37.5-percent from the field, 40-percent from the three-point line and 66.7-percent from the free throw line.

Melissa Busby and Casey Garrison led the Bears with 13 and 10 points, respectively, while Garrison had a team-best seven rebounds and four assists. Busby and Jaleshia Roberson recorded four steals each.

Tulsa will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 22 against cross-town rival Oral Roberts. Game time is set for 12 noon at the Mabee Center on the ORU campus.
