Tulsa Women's Hoops Team Knocks Off Oklahoma State, 58-56

Oklahoma City, Okla. - University of Tulsa redshirt freshman Jillian Robbins and sophomore Megan Moody combined for 21 points to lead the Golden Hurricane to a 58-56 come-from-behind victory over Oklahoma State in front of 2,438 fans at the Bertha Teague Classic at the Ford Center.
Robbins tallied a team-high 11 points, while Moody finished with 10 points in a game dominated by defense.
Tulsa (1-0) trailed by nine points early in the second half, but Robbins helped fuel a comeback by Tulsa with two steals for four points a several crucial rebounds. The Hurricane rallied and tied the game after each team traded buckets for 10 minutes in the second half.
Senior Candice Brewer was fouled on consecutive possessions and connected on 3-of-4 free throw attempts to give TU its first lead of the second half with 1:53 remaining in the game.
Oklahoma State (0-1) failed two score during the final 4:28 and sophomore Kara Pongonis drained a free throw with under a second left in the game to give TU a two point lead
Robbins, who was named the Tulsa team MVP, also recorded eight rebounds and three steals. Junior Sarah Lundberg led TU on the boards with nine rebounds and TU out rebounded OSU, 49-33.
Nina Stone led the Cowgirls with 19 points.
