Jersey City, N.J. - The University of Tulsa allowed a season low 38 points in route to defeating host St. Peter's, 51-38, in the consolation game of the 2006 Aeropostale/SPC Holiday Classic on Saturday. A crowd of 427 witnessed the Golden Hurricane pick up its fifth victory of the season. The Peahens total was the lowest amount for a TU opponent since Nov. 30, 2002, when Tulsa gave up only 35 points at Texas-Pan American.

Senior All-American Candidate Jillian Robbins earned a spot on the all-tournament team by recording her 56th career double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds. Freshman Teka Brooks also reached double-digits for the first time this season with 10 points to go along with six rebounds. Tulsa utilized balance scoring, as eight of the 10 players that saw action scored for the Golden Hurricane.

TU held SPC scoreless for the final 6:05 of the game. Tulsa's final six points of the contest came at the free throw line, with Robbins hitting four throws and Brooks hitting the final two.

Tulsa (5-7) opens Conference USA play with a Jan. 2nd contest at SMU at 7 p.m. The Hurricane will play the next three contests on the road, as TU returns to the friendly confines of the Donald W. Reynolds Center on Jan. 12th against Tulane at 7 p.m.
