Golden Hurricane Women's Hoops to Take on SMU This Sunday

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa women's basketball team returns to action on Sunday, January 21st to host SMU beginning at 1:05 p.m. (CST) in the Donald W. Reynolds Center. The Golden Hurricane has tallied a 6-11 overall mark and a 1-4 Conference USA record this season, while the Mustangs own an 11-6 overall record and a 3-2 mark in the league.
Senior forward and All-America candidate Jillian Robbins is leading TU with 19.7 points per game and 12.8 rebounds per game this season. She also owns a team-best 55 steals and 22 blocks. Sophomore Jamie Dreiling posts 8.2 points per game and 4.4 rebounds per game, the second-best marks for Tulsa.
The Mustangs will be led by Janielle Dodds who averages 15.2 points per game and 7.1 rebounds per game. Delisha Wills also posts double-digit scoring with 10.1 points per game. Sharee Shepherd leads the team in steals (39) and assists per game (2.5), while Dodds owns a team-best 18 blocks.
Tulsa and SMU have met 24 times, with the Mustangs holding a 17-7 advantage in the series. SMU picked up a 64-54 win over TU earlier this season, but the Golden Hurricane has won seven of the last 11 contests.
