Tulsa, Oklahoma - The University of Tulsa women's basketball team continues its home stand against UAB on Thursday, January 26th beginning at 7:00 pm at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the ticket office.

The TU-UAB contest is Girl Scout Night. All Girl Scouts in uniform will receive free admission to the game.

The Golden Hurricane has an 8-9 mark on the season, including a 7-2 mark in the friendly confines of the Reynolds Center, and a 3-3 mark in Conference USA. Tulsa ranks first in free throw percentage (.683), second in defensive rebound percentage (.696), third in scoring offense (62.0) and fourth in rebounding defense (36.5) among the league's best.

Junior guard Taleya Mayberry has a team-best 14.8 points per game, while sophomore guard Taylor Hooker also averages double-digit points with 11.2 ppg. Hooker currently ranks first in the league and 24th nationally with 3.2 steals per game, as she has turned in a team-high 54 steals in 17 contests. Tiffani Couisnard has a team-leading 8.1 rebounds per game, followed by Loren McDaniel with 6.1.

UAB has a 13-5 overall record and a 4-2 mark in Conference USA, but has dropped its last two games to Tulane and Memphis. The Blazers are led by a trio of players that average double-digit points, including Amber Jones (14.1), Karisma Chapman (13.7) and LaShaunda Pratt (11.7). Meagan Brown has a team-leading 6.4 rebounds per game and 26 blocks, while Jones has 50 assists and Chapman has 44 steals.

This will be the 11th meeting between the two teams, as UAB has a 9-1 advantage in the all-time series.
