Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Tulsa women's basketball team will open a three-game homestand this Friday at 7:05 p.m. against Western Athletic Conference leader TCU at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.

The Tulsa Golden Hurricane (5-13, 2-5 WAC) will look to capture its second straight conference game after upending San Jose State, 82-80, in its last contest. The Hurricane will also look to hand the Horned Frogs their first loss in league play this season. After Friday's contest, TU will face SMU (2-6) and UMKC (2-9) at the Reynolds Center. Tulsa is 2-5 overall this season at home and 1-2 in conference play. TU has an all-time record of 15-11 (.580) and a WAC mark of 11-6 (.650) at the Reynolds Center. TU is averaging 56.2 points and 33.9 rebounds per game. Junior Leela Farr leads Tulsa with 11.3 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. Senior Athena Pirpich leads TU in three-pointers (44), assists (68) and steals (33).

TCU (14-4, 6-0 WAC) has won seven straight games. The Horned Frogs are 5-1 overall and 3-0 in WAC games on the road this season. Junior Kati Safaritova is the top scorer with 11.5 points per game, while senior Janice Thomas is the top rebounder with 7.3 boards per contest. TCU is averaging 71.9 points and 42.3 rebounds per outing. Horned Frog Head Coach Jeff Mittie is in his second season at TCU and has a record of 30-18.

Friday's game marks the 15tth meeting between Tulsa and TCU. The Horned Frogs lead the all-time series, 8-6. The two teams met just 10 days ago in Fort Worth where TCU handed Tulsa a 71-54 setback. The Horned Frogs are just 1-3 in Tulsa since the Golden Hurricane's first season as a WAC member in 1996-97. In fact, Tulsa has won its last three meetings against the Horned Frogs at home, including a 68-55 win over TCU in the 1999-2000 WAC opener at the Reynolds Center.
