The Tulsa women's basketball team will host North Texas on Saturday, February 22nd beginning at 2:00 pm at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the Reynolds Center ticket office.

The Tulsa-North Texas game is the annual Hoops `N Chili game. Chili will be served from 12:00 until 1:30 pm in the Reynolds Center practice gym. All meal tickets must be purchased by Friday, February 21 at noon by calling 918.631.2555.

The contest is also the "pink game" and Play4Kay. A "Memorial Walk for Breast Cancer" will begin at 12:30 pm in the concourse of the Reynolds Center and there will be a silent auction during that time as well.

TU has a 10-13 overall record and a 4-8 mark in Conference USA, and is looking to snap a six-game losing streak. The Golden Hurricane ranks first in three-point field goal percentage (.337), fifth in assists per game (13.7), assist-turnover ratio (0.8) and field goal percentage (.415), and seventh in scoring offense (69.4) and three-point field goals made per game (5.4) among Conference USA's best.

Sophomore Ashley Clark has a team-leading 14.8 points per game, followed by Kelsee Grovey (12.4) and Mariah Turner (10.7). Clark also has a team-best 6.4 rebounds per game, 78 assists and 40 steals, while Grovey has 70 assists and 26 steals. Kadan Brady has 24 steals, and Stevi Parker has 20 steals and 13 blocks.

North Texas has an 11-14 overall record and a 5-7 mark in Conference USA, including a win over UTEP (73-64) in their last contest. Briesha Wynn and Alexis Hyder both average double-digit points with 11.1 and 10.9 points per game, respectively. Acheil Tac has a team-high 7.0 rpg, Wynn has 38 steals, Candice Adams has 47 assists, and Tac and Janis Peterson both have nine blocks.

This will be the sixth meeting between the Golden Hurricane and the Mean Green on the women's basketball court. Tulsa has won all five games in the series, including a 79-63 victory in Denton, Texas, earlier this season.
