Tulsa Hosts UTEP in Final Regular Season Contest on Thursday

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The University of Tulsa women's basketball team will conclude the regular season on Thursday, March 3rd against UTEP beginning at 7:05 p.m. at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. The Golden Hurricane will also honor its four seniors - Tatum Beer, Kensey Hall, Jermaine Kermis and Kara Vaughan prior to the game. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for youth (12 and under).
TU, which owns a 5-18 overall record and a 1-14 mark in Conference USA, ranks first in Steals (11.4) and Offensive Rebounds (17.6), third in Offensive Rebound Percentage (.396), and fifth in Turnover Margin (+2.0) and Rebounding Offense (39.7) among the league's best.
Taleya Mayberry has a team-leading 14.8 points per game, as well as 74 assists and 71 steals. Freshman Loren McDaniel posts 7.7 ppg, while Beer and Chanice Scott record 7.0 ppg apiece, and McDaniel also has a team-best 12 blocks and 6.4 rebounds per game.
UTEP has a 14-13 overall record and a 6-9 mark in C-USA, and are coming off a 70-64 loss to SMU last Sunday. The Miners are led by Gloria Brown, who posts 12.0 ppg, followed by Dietra Caldwell (9.6) and Kelli Willingham (9.1). Brown also has a team-best 6.9 rebounds per game and 53 blocks, while Willingham has 113 assists and 37 steals.
This will be the 26th meeting between TU and UTEP, as the Miners have a 15-10 lead in the all-time series, including a narrow 69-66 victory earlier this season.
