The Tulsa women's basketball team will close out the regular season at home against Charlotte on Wednesday, March 5th, beginning at 7:00 pm at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the Reynolds Center ticket office.

Prior to the contest, TU will honor senior Loren McDaniel. McDaniel is a four-year letterwinner who has started in 83 of 111 career games. She has six career double-doubles, 20 double-digit scoring games and 14 double-figure rebounding contests. McDaniel ranks sixth in school history with 631 career rebounds and ninth in double-doubles with six.

Tulsa has an 11-15 overall record and a 5-10 mark in Conference USA. The Golden Hurricane ranks first in three-point field goal percentage (.340), sixth in field goal percentage (.413), seventh in scoring offense (68.8) and three-point field goals made per game (5.4), and eighth in assists per game (13.5) and assist-turnover ratio (0.83) among Conference USA's best.

Sophomore Ashley Clark has a team-leading 14.5 points per game, followed by Kelsee Grovey (12.1) and Mariah Turner (10.5). Clark also has a team-best 6.2 rebounds per game, 88 assists and 43 steals, while Grovey has 78 assists and 33 steals. Kadan Brady has 27 steals, and Stevi Parker has 22 steals and 13 blocks.

The 49ers have a 14-13 overall record, including an 8-6 mark in Conference USA, and are on a two-game winning streak. Four players are averaging double-digit points, including Gabby Tyler (12.0), Ny Hammonds (11.8), Kira Gordon (10.7) and Hillary Sigmon (10.5). Hammonds is coming off back-to-back triple doubles and has a team-leading 153 assists, while Tyler has team-highs of 7.5 rebounds per game and 39 blocks, and Gordon and Lefty Webster each have 34 steals.

This will be just the second meeting between the Golden Hurricane and the 49ers on the women's basketball court. Charlotte won the only previous meeting, an 85-65 decision in the SPC Holiday Classic in Jersey City, N.J., during the 2006-07 season.
