Irving, Texas - Tulsa's Kelsee Grovey was named as the Conference USA Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week, as announced today by the league office. This was Grovey's second weekly honor as she was also named on January 21st.

Grovey, a guard from Shawnee, Okla., led Tulsa to a 76-63 victory over Houston to close out regular season action. She scored 14 points on 4-of-9 shooting (.444), dished out four assists and tallied two steals as the Golden Hurricane earned the No. 6 seed in next week's tournament.

Grovey averages 10.3 points and 2.7 rebounds, and has recorded 57 assists, 43 steals and four blocks on the year for Tulsa.

She is just the second TU women's basketball player to pick up the honor and second to do it twice, as Taleya Mayberry was selected on two occasions during the 2009-10 campaign.
