A Week in the Life of Kelsee Grovey

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: The first thing that comes to my head on these days is waking up at 5 AM to get a good workout in. I won't lie, getting up at 5 AM in the morning was a bit challenging for me at first, but knowing I get a good workout in right when I wake up is an excellent feeling. Before I head over to workouts I eat a quick bite of cereal, fruit or a Special K bar. I love the workouts our trainer Ryan gives us. We don't strictly do one thing; we change it up each day and get better at what we're doing every time we're in the gym.

After workouts I head over to my dorm to take a shower, eat and get ready for my classes. I have an English class from 9:05 until 10:05. After that I head to my second class of the day which is History that lasts from 10:20-12:00. The professors in each of these classes are really cool and work well with me if I have any questions. I'm enjoying both of these classes.

After my classes it's LUNCH TIME! By this time I am starving and cannot wait to eat! My teammates and I usually go to ACAC (Allen Chapman Activity Center) to eat, which is really good. When I'm finished with my meal, I head over to the Case Center to do homework or study. We're required to spend at least four hours in the Case Center every week. This is easy for me because I've taken advantage of the Case Center and use it as a quiet place to study.

When I'm finished at the Case Center I head back to my dorm for a nap. After naps I go to the gym and get some shots up and work on dribbling. I always need to practice on my own to get better at each of these skills each day. These days can wear you out, but I've grown to love them! Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I have the same routine. I think I've gotten the hang of it.

Tuesday-Thursday: The days I get to sleep in ☺. Sleeping in to me is probably not what most people would consider as "sleeping in." On Tuesdays and Thursdays I get to sleep until 8 o'clock in the morning! I cherish this the extra 3 hours I get to sleep in on these days, it feels like heaven!

Once I get moving around I grab something to eat before I head to class. The ACAC has really good breakfast foods so sometimes I stop by there or eat a bowl of cereal at the dorm. After breakfast I head to my classes for a good day of learning. When class is over I'm back over at the ACAC eating again. I eat a lot if you couldn't tell! After lunch I go to Case to study and do my homework.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays my teammates and I usually play pick-up for a couple hours. I love when we play pick-up because were getting used to how one another play. Not only do I get to play pick-up with my teammates at this time but I also get to bond with them too. We all have a great time during pick-up and it is definitely a time I look forward too. After pick-up I shower, head back to the dorm, and eat. Tuesdays and Thursdays are good days!

GO TU!
