Tulsa, Oklahoma -

The Tulsa women's basketball team got the season underway today as they hosted their first practice of the year under the direction of second-year head coach Matilda Mossman.

The Golden Hurricane team returns seven letterwinners, including three starters, and welcomes four newcomers. The roster features seniors Tiffani Couisnard, Taleya Mayberry and Jessica McQuin; junior Loren McDaniel; sophomores Kadan Brady, Amber Fleet and Mariah Turner; and freshmen Ashley Clark, Kelsee Grovey, Jasmine Vasquez and Antoinet Webster.

Nine of TU's 29 opponents won 20 or more games last season, while all but one finished with double-digit victories. Arkansas, BYU, Iowa State, UALR and UTEP all made an appearance in the NCAA Tournament, while Memphis, Oral Roberts, Stephen F. Austin and Tulane played in the Women's National Invitational Tournament, and Rice participated in the Women's Basketball Invitational.
