Tulsa, Oklahoma - Tulsa Head Women's Basketball Coach Matilda Mossman announced today the addition of Chelsea Turner and Christine Elliott to the staff. Turner will serve as the Director of Player Development and Team Manager, while Elliott will fill the role of Graduate Manager.

"My relationship with Chelsea goes back to when I coached her in high school so I know we are getting a quality individual with a strong work ethic who is fun to be around," Mossman said. "Chelsea will be instrumental in helping us further our relationship with the Tulsa community, our alumni, as well as our former student-athletes. I am excited about her being a member of our staff and getting to work alongside her every day."

Turner served as a coach during the University of Oklahoma Women's Basketball Summer Camps from 2007 to 2012, where she worked directly with the youth on basketball fundamentals, as well as other aspects of the game.

Turner was a four-year letterwinner at Cameron University from 2003-07, serving as the team captain as a junior and senior. She earned her bachelor's degree in human ecology in May 2007 from Cameron, and her master's degree in human relations in 2009 from Oklahoma.

Turner played prep basketball at Norman North High School and was a teammate of current Tulsa Recruiting Coordinator and Assistant Coach Britney Brown.

"Christine came highly recommended to us by her high school coach (Mike Helmer), her college coach (Rhonda Rompola) as well as Butler Community College assistant coach (Andy Hamilton). She was a tough competitor at SMU and we look forward to having that mentality in our program."

Elliott came to Tulsa after serving as an assistant basketball coach at Butler Community College for the 2012-13 season. She was a four-year letterwinner at SMU from 2008-12, playing in 121 games. During her career, she scored 1,167 points and pulled down 900 rebounds, and set records for most rebounds by a freshman (224) and most rebounds in a game (21). Elliott was named to the Conference USA All-Tournament Team as a senior in 2012 and to the C-USA All-Freshman Team in 2009.

Elliott earned her bachelor's degree in sociology in 2012 from SMU.
