Tulsa, Oklahoma - Virginia DeWare signed a National Letter-of-Intent with the Tulsa women's basketball team, as announced today by Head Coach Charlene Thomas-Swinson.

A 6'3" post player from Bixby, Okla., DeWare averaged 17.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game as a junior. She earned all-Metro Lakes honors as a sophomore and junior, and was named the 2007 Metro Lakes Offensive Player of the Year. DeWare was also selected as one of Oklahoma's Top-50 players.

"Virginia is a leader, a motivator and a go-to-person both on and off the court," Bixby Head Coach Janet Upshaw said. "She has great size, she can score in the paint and is a great person. She will be a great asset to Tulsa."
