1982 AIAW NATIONAL CHAMPIONS
Nearly three weeks after capturing one national title, the Tulsa women were back at it. The Hurricane welcomed the NCAA to women's golf by taking the first NCAA Championship. Tulsa was too greedy to relinquish its' hold on the claim of “National Champions” that the Hurricane ushered out the 11-year-old Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW) with that organizations last national crown. Tulsa entered the final day two strokes behind team leader Florida, but rallied on the final six holes at the Ohio State Scarlet Course in Columbus, Ohio, to win another national championship.

1988 NCAA NATIONAL CHAMPIONS
Tulsa's fourth national championship was one that Head Coach Dale McNamara may have cherished the most –– for two reasons. One, the Golden Hurricane missed qualifying for the NCAA National Championship a year earlier, but more importantly, was that daughter Melissa captured individual medalist honors. The younger McNamara carded rounds of 72-74-71-70 for a two-stroke victory in propelling the Hurricane to a seven-stroke team win at the New Mexico State University Course in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
