Tulsa Places Third at the Texas A&M Mo-Morial

Bryan, Texas - The Tulsa women golfers finished in third place at the Texas A&M Mo-Morial Invitational on Sunday afternoon finished with a 54-hole total of 956 at the Traditions Golf Club.
The Hurricane finished second round competition in the morning with a round of 320 after play was postponed on Saturday. In third round action, Tulsa posted its best round of the tournament with a 314.
Michigan State captured the team title with a score of 931, followed by second-place Denver at 940. Tulsa was followed by host Texas A&M and Kent State in a fourth-place tie at 962.
Tulsa junior Woori Shin turned in a fifth-place finish with a three-round total of 232, carding a final round 77 today. It was Shin's second straight finish among the top-6 individuals in only her second tournament with the Hurricane. Senior Michaela Cavener bounced back from an opening round 83 and shot 77 and 75 in her final two rounds to finish in a ninth-place tie with a 235 total.
Senior Tara Goedeken placed in a tie for 20th place with three straight rounds of 81 for a 243 total, while freshman Kelly Fuchik finished just three strokes behind her in 27th place. Fuchik carded rounds of 78-87-81 for a 246 total. Senior Leisl Hasbrouck finished in 58th place with a 260 total.
Michigan State's Sara Brown claimed individual medalist honors with a five-over par 221 total.
Tulsa will be in action next at the Samford Invitational, March 16-18.
