Tulsa Women's Golfers in 13th Place After Two Rounds at Betsy Rawls InvitationalMarch 21, 2009
Austin, Texas - The Tulsa women's golf team shot a 309 in today's round for a two-day 617 total for 13th place at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational at the University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, Texas. Arizona State and Purdue are tied for first place with two-round 578 totals, while Arkansas (582), New Mexico (590) and Duke (601) round out the top-five teams. Marita Engzelius carded the best round for TU on the day with a 75 to move into 18th place with a 148 total. Shu-Yin Liu and Woori Shin are in 52nd place with 156, while Kelly Fuchik is one stroke back in 58th place. Sarah Elliot has a two-day 166 total for 84th place. Purdue's Maria Hernandez is in the lead for the individual title with a 139, just one stroke ahead of Arkansas' Lucy Nunn with a 140. The third and final round will be played tomorrow.
