The Tulsa women's golf team shot a 312 in the final round for a three-day 929 total, finishing in 12th place at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational at the University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, Texas.
Purdue won the team championship with a three-round 872 total, six strokes ahead of second place Arizona State (878). Arkansas carded an 880 for third place, while New Mexico (891) and Duke (897) rounded out the top-five teams.
Marita Engzelius turned in Tulsa's best performance each day and finished with a three-day 223 total for 17th place. Woori Shin had a 232 total for 41st place and Kelly Fuchik had a 237 total to finish 60th. Shu-Yin Liu placed 79th with a 245 total and Sarah Elliot was 83rd with a 247 total.
Purdue's Maria Hernandez won the individual title with a 210 total, three strokes ahead of Arkansas' Lucy Nunn who finished second.
Tulsa will return to action on April 3-5 at the Ping/ASU Invitational in Tempe, Arizona.
