Kapalua, Hawaii - Tulsa senior golfer Kristina Merkle carded an even-par round 72 at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic on Monday in her native Hawaii. The Hurricane sits in 13th place with a score of 304 after opening round action.

Pepperdine leads the field with a score of three-under par 285 at The Bay Course, while Washington (287), Arizona State (289), San Jose State and Stanford (294) round out the top-five teams.

Tulsa freshmen Antonia Von Knuck and Jessica Lydia carded rounds of 74 and 76, respectively. Von Knuck is in 24th place overall, while Lydia sits in 43rd place.

Junior Karson Bizzell is in 87th place with a score of 82 and senior Shu-Yin Liu is in 92nd place with a total of 85.

Second round action takes place on Tuesday with final round play coming on Wednesday.
