Kapalua, Hawaii - The Tulsa women's golf team finished in 10th place with a total score of 892 at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic. The Hurricane turned in a five-over par 293 for its best round of the tournament on Wednesday, while senior Kristina Merkle's two-under par score of 70 moved her into 18th place with a 218 total at the Kapalua Resort's Bay Course.

UCLA turned in a 12-under par 276 score today to overtake Washington for the team title with a 54-hole total of 854. Washington (858), Arizona State (862), Pepperdine (869) and Oregon (886) rounded out the top-five teams.

Merkle birdied her first hole of the day, the par-4 ninth hole. She had two bogeys on the day, but also birdied holes 18, one and six for her two-under par score. Freshman Antonia Von Wnuck finished in 21st place, one stroke behind Merkle, with a score of 219 after a round of 76 today.

Freshman Jessica Lydia scored a round of 74 and finished in 48th place with a 228 total. After suffering a 13-over par first round, senior Shu-Yin Liu was solid the final two days with scores of 74 on Tuesday and a one-over par 73 today as she finished in 67th place overall. Junior Karson Bizzell carded a final round 78 for a 236 score and 78th place.

Pepperdine's Grace Na claimed individual medalist honors with a final round score of 68 for a 10-under par score of 206 and a five-stroke victory.

Tulsa will be back in action at the M&F Bank Rebel Intercollegiate, April 5-7, in Oxford, Mississippi.
