Oxford, Miss. - The Tulsa women's golf team finished in an 11th place tie on Sunday at the t the 18-team Rebel Intercollegiate as the Golden Hurricane carded a final round 300 to finish with a 54-hole score of 914 at the Ole Miss Golf Course.

Tulsa senior Kristina Merkle carded a final round two-under par 70 and finished in 16th place with an overall score of five-over par 221. After starting on hole 12 today, Merkle bogeyed the par-5 14th hole, but then turned in birdie putts on the par-4 18th and the par-4 fourth hole to go one-under par. She got back to even on the next hole with a bogey on the par-3 fifth hole. Merkle closed out the day with a birdie on the par-5 seventh hole and finished her round with a par putt on the par-4 11th hole to record her two-under par score.

Coastal Carolina held on for the tournament title with a score of 863 and was followed by Baylor (872), Tulane (878), East Tennessee State (881) and Kentucky (886) to round out the top-5 teams. Individually, Coastal Carolina's Jessica Alexander shot one-under 71 today for an eight-under par three-round score of 208 to claim medalist honors.

Hurricane freshman Antonia Von Wnuck placed 46th overall with a score of 227 after turning in her best round of the tournament on Sunday with a two-over par 74. Senior Shu-Yin Liu placed 56th with a score of 230, followed by Jessica Lydia's 237 score for 78th place and Karson Bizzell in 91st place with a score of 246.

Tulsa will be in action next at the Conference USA Championships, April 22-24, in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
