Tulsa Women Golfers Move up to 14th Place at Susie Maxwell Berning Classic

Norman, Okla. - The Tulsa women's golf team moved up three spots to 14th place after two rounds at the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic on Tuesday. The Hurricane carded a second round score of 312 at the par-72 Jimmie Austin OU Golf Course. The host Oklahoma Sooners continue to lead the 18-team field with a three-over par score of 284 s and is followed by Texas Tech (594), Coastal Carolina (596), Notre Dame (599) and fifth-place Kansas (600). Tulsa senior Kristina Merkle moved up from 39th to 14th place with a second day total of one-over par 73 for a four-over par 148 total. Freshman Antonia Von Wnuck carded a round of 80 today and her two round total of 154 is in 42nd place, while senior Shu-Yin Liu is one stroke back with a 155 total for 49th place. Newcomers Karson Bizzell has a 165 total for 84th place, while Jessica Lydia has turned in a 36-hole total of 168 for 89th place. Notre Dame's Lindsey Weaver holds the individual lead with a four-under par 140 score after turning in an even-par score of 72 today.
