The Tulsa women golfers closed out the fall season on Tuesday at the 39th Annual Betsy Rawls Invitational with a final round score of 297 to finish the 54-hole tournament with a 19-over total of 883. The Hurricane finished ahead of six top-40 ranked teams at the par-72 University of Texas Golf Club course.
Senior Shu-Yin Liu, the first round leader after scoring a career-best 68 placed 14th overall in the field of 81 golfers. She finished with a two-over par 218 total after completing her round today at four-over par 76. Freshman Jessica Lydia also carded a round of 76 today to finish at five-over par 221 to tie for 21st place.
Senior Kristina Merkle turned in her second straight solid round with an even-par 72 after opening the tournament with a first round 82. Merkle was one-under par yesterday and closed out the tournament in 37th place.
Tulsa's Antonia Von Wnuck finished in 42nd place with a 10-over par 226 after firing in a one-over par 73 today. Karson Bizzell placed 64th with 233 score.
SEC rivals, Florida and Alabama, tied for the team title with one-under par scores of 863. Arkansas was next with a total of 864, followed by Arizona State (869) and Tulsa rounding out the top-five.
Tulsa individual Nanna Nielson placed 80th with a score of 258.

Since the opening of the Donald W. Reynolds Center in 1998, Tulsa’s athletic facilities have undergone a major facelift. New facilities include the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, the Collins Family Softball Complex, the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, the J.
