Fresno, Calif. - The Tulsa women's golf team scored a nine-over par 297 in opening round action and finished the first of the two Monday rounds in first place at the Fresno State Lexus Classic. Tulsa freshman Antonia Von Wnuck is in a second-place tie individually with a round of 72, while senior Kristina Merkle is in sixth place after scoring a round of 73 in first round play at the par-72 Copper River Country Club.

Tulsa leads second-place Long Beach State by one stroke and third-place UC Irvine by four strokes.

The second round began at approximately 1:15 pm (PT)/3:15 pm (CT).
