Tulsa, Oklahoma - The 15th-ranked University of Tulsa women's golf team was one of 21 teams selected to participate in the 2003 NCAA Regionals, it was announced late Monday.

The Golden Hurricane, which is making its 26th AIAW/NCAA Tournament appearance in 2003, will participate in the NCAA Central Region, May 8-10, at Firehorn Golf Club in Lincoln, Nebraska.

The NCAA hosts three regionals, with sites in Nebraska, North Carolina and Arizona. Eight teams and two individuals will advance to the NCAA Championship Finals, May 20-23, at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Tulsa enters the 2003 NCAA Regionals with back-to-back Central Regional titles in 2001-02 and 2000-01. Last season in East Lansing, Mich., Tulsa jumped from a ninth-place first round to win the title with a final round two-under par 290.
