IRVING, Texas - University of Tulsa women golfers Shu-Yin Liu, Kristina Merkle and Antonia Von Wnuck earned Conference USA all-league honors, it was announced today.

Liu earned second-team accolades and shared the award with SMU's Melanie White for C-USA's Most Improved Golfer, while Merkle and Von Wnuck were third-team selections.

Liu leads the Golden Hurricane women with a 74.8 stroke average in 29 rounds this year, while Merkle has a 75.1 average. Liu has placed among the top-15 in five tournaments and had her best finish of 10th place at the Conference USA Championship last week. Merkle captured medalist honors at the Notre Dame Clover Classic in March and has finished in the top-20 in five tournaments.

In her freshman season, Von Wnuck had a 75.2 stroke average and placed among the top-10 in three tournaments, including a season-best fifth-place performance at the Fresno State Lexus Classic.

Liu earned all-conference honors for the first time in her four-year career, while Merkle garnered all-league accolades for all four years. She earned first-team merits in her first three seasons.

Liu and Merkle, both seniors, will represent Tulsa at the NCAA East Regional in Auburn, Alabama, May 9-11.
