Longmont, Colorado - University of Tulsa golfer Kayla Riede qualified for the U.S. Women's Public Links at the par-72 Ute Greek Golf Course. Riede, playing in her first tournament since December hip surgery, turned in a women's course record of seven-under par 65 to move on to the U.S. WAPL, June 17-22, in Norman, Oklahoma.

It's the second straight year that Riede has qualified for the U.S. WAPL. She made eight birdies on the day, and only one was outside of six feet. Riede hit every green in regulation except the one on the course's shortest hole, the 126-yard 14th, where she lipped out a par putt and made her only bogey.

"This was my first tournament back after surgery, so I was ready to play," said Riede. "I was just really happy and excited to play. I knew I'd do well, but I was really happy with my score being that low."
