Keck led the Golden Hurricane to eight tournament victories in his seven years as head coach, including the 2008 and 2012 Conference USA Championships. His teams made NCAA Regional competition four times in seven seasons.

He took over the coaching reigns in the 2007-08 campaign and won four tournament crowns that year.
