Neshanic Station, NJ - University of Tulsa golfer Kristina Merkle lost in the round of 32 at the 36th Annual U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links. Pailin Ruttanasupagid of Thailand earned the victory over Merkle 7 and 5.

Merkle advanced to match play with a 13th place finish in stroke play. She scored a second round total of two-over par 74 to finish the match play competition at one-under par 143 to finish in a seven-way tie for 13th place.
