Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Tulsa women's golf team is in fifth place after one round at the Stanford Women's Intercollegiate in Stanford, California. The Hurricane shot an opening round nine-over par 297, and was led by junior two-time All-American Stacy Prammanasudh's even-par 72.

In the team race, defending national champion Arizona shot a blistering 11-under par 277 to take a 15 stroke lead over second-place Stanford. The host Cardinal scored a four-over round of 292, followed by third-place New Mexico State (295), fourth-place Southern California (296) and Tulsa (297). The top-10 is rounded out by Arizona State, Pepperdine, San Jose State, New Mexico and Indiana.

In addition to Prammanasudh, freshman Julie Tvede carded a one-over par 73 and is in a seven-way tie for 13th place, while sophomore Maiko Senda is in 20th place following a two-over par 74. Freshman Suzie Fisher and junior Dani Mallon each shot rounds of 78 on Friday.

Team-leading Arizona gobbled up the three top individual spots following the first 18 holes with under par rounds by Lorena Ochoa, the individual leader after a six-under par 66, Natalie Gulbia with a five-under par 67 and Cristina Baena with a two-under round of 70.

The tournament continues with 18 holes on Saturday, and concludes on Sunday.
