Since the opening of the Donald W. Reynolds Center in 1998, Tulsa’s athletic facilities have undergone a major facelift. New facilities include the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, the Collins Family Softball Complex, the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, the J. Bird Sr. Shell Nest, the Jack Zink Indoor Rowing Center, the Case Athletic Complex and major renovation to H.A. Chapman Stadium.
TU is 75th among national doctoral universities in U. S. News & World Report's 2012 edition of America's Best Colleges. TU's 2011 freshman class had a mean cumulative grade point average of 3.8, and 74 percent graduated in the top 10 percent of their high school classes. Their average ACT was 28.

AT TULSA - A four-year letterwinner . . . participated in 32 career regattas.
SENIOR (2011-12) - Participated in seven regattas . . . raced the Collegiate 4+ `A' and Collegiate 8+ `A' to fourth-place finishes in the 500-Meter Grand Final Sprints at the Head of the Oklahoma . . . assisted the Varsity 8+ to wins over Kansas, Kansas State and Central Oklahoma at the Oklahoma Invitational . . . at the San Diego Crew Classic, raced the Varsity 8+ to a fifth-place Grand Final finish . . . helped Tulsa capture the Lawless Cup with a top finish in the Varsity 8+ . . . at the C-USA Championship, earned a fifth-place Grand Final finish in the Varsity 8+.
JUNIOR (2010-11) - Participated in 10 regattas . . . in the Open 8+, recorded a third-place mark at the Head of the Hooch . . . posted second-place finishes in the Varsity 8+ Grand Final at both the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship and the San Diego Crew Classic . . . at the Conference USA Championship, registered a fifth-place mark in the Varsity 8+ Grand Final.
SOPHOMORE (2009-10) - Participated in nine regattas . . . at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship, assisted the Second Varsity 8+ to a fourth-place Grand Final finish . . . recorded a second-place mark in the Collegiate 8+ at the USRowing Championship.
FRESHMAN (2008-09) - Rowed in six regattas . . . at the Wichita Frostbite, earned a gold medal in the 2nd Novice 8+ and placed 10th in the Open 8+ `C' . . . captured a gold medal in the Novice 4+ at the Lawless Cup . . . earned a first-place finish at the Midwest Intercollegiate Rowing Championship, second place marks at the Knecht Cup and Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships, and a third-place finish at the Dad Vail in the Novice 4+.
PRIOR TO TULSA - Was a two-year letterwinner in track and field at Industrial High School.
PERSONAL - An anthropology major . . . born April 20, 1990 . . . one of five children of Bain and Jackie Cate . . . was named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and Tulsa Dean's List as a senior.
