Taurii Coyne is in her third year as second assistant coach for the Tulsa rowing team.

Coyne helped lead the Golden Hurricane to 19 first-place marks, while 34 boats finished among the top three in eight regattas during the 2011-12 season. TU's Lightweight 8+ won their event at the Head of the Hooch, while the Lightweight 2x and Novice 4+ captured top finishes at the Head of the Oklahoma. Tulsa once again claimed the Lawless Cup and finished fifth in Conference USA, while Stephanie Rogers was named as a Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association All-American, the first for TU in program history.

During the 2010-11 season, Coyne helped coach TU to 22 first-place finishes and saw 57 boats medal in 11 regattas. The Golden Hurricane earned a sixth-place finish in the Lightweight 4+ at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship, medaled its first-ever boat at the Conference USA Championship as the Varsity 4+ picked up a bronze medal, and medaled all five boats at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association to tie for the women's team trophy.

Coyne was a volunteer coach for the University of Miami women's crew in 2006-07 and 2009. She coached novice and third varsity rowers.

Prior to Miami, Coyne served as the head coach for the Chicago River Rowing Club in 2007 where she was responsible for training programs for all levels of athletes as well as community outreach programs.

From 2001-05, Coyne was a coach, private instructor, and youth chaperone for the Tampa Rowing Club. Her responsibilities included working with college athletes during their break and keeping equipment maintained and available. She was also involved with the development and implementation of The Stewards Foundation and Learn-to-Row programs.

Coyne has race experience in all boat classes, and earned four varsity letters while a member of the University of Miami Women's Rowing Team. She graduated from Miami in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in both art history and forensics.

Coyne is a member of the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association.
