Since the opening of the Donald W. Reynolds Center in 1998, Tulsa�s athletic facilities have undergone a major facelift. New facilities include the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, the Collins Family Softball Complex, the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, the J. Bird Sr. Shell Nest, the Jack Zink Indoor Rowing Center, the Case Athletic Complex and major renovation to H.A. Chapman Stadium.

TU is 75th among national doctoral universities in U. S. News & World Report's 2012 edition of America's Best Colleges. TU's 2011 freshman class had a mean cumulative grade point average of 3.8, and 74 percent graduated in the top 10 percent of their high school classes. Their average ACT was 28.

Conference USA Announces Academic Medal Winners

Hurricane has 61 student-athletes recognized

AT TULSA - A two-year letterwinner.

SOPHOMORE (2011-12) - Participated in six regattas . . . assisted the Second Varsity 8+ to wins over Kansas, Kansas State and Central Oklahoma at the Oklahoma Invitational . . . raced the Second Varsity 8+ to a top mark at the Lawless Cup . . . at the C-USA Championship, earned a sixth-place Grand Final finish in the Second Varsity 8+.

FRESHMAN (2010-11) - Participated in nine regattas . . . helped the Novice 8+ record a fourth-place finish with a time of 16:14.77 at the Head of the Oklahoma . . . posted a third-place finish at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship and a sixth-place mark at the San Diego Crew Classic in the Novice 8+ Grand Final . . . at the Conference USA Championship, registered a fifth-place mark in the Second Varsity 8+ Grand Final.

PRIOR TO TULSA - Was a four-year letterwinner in soccer at Papillion-La Vista High School . . . was also a member of the volleyball team for two years and football team for one season.

PESONAL - A psychology and pre-med major . . . born May 13, 1992 . . . daughter of Jim and Dawn Helmberger . . . was a C-USA All-Academic Medalist and was named to the Tulsa President's List as a freshman.
