Since the opening of the Donald W. Reynolds Center in 1998, Tulsa’s athletic facilities have undergone a major facelift. New facilities include the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, the Collins Family Softball Complex, the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, the J. Bird Sr. Shell Nest, the Jack Zink Indoor Rowing Center, the Case Athletic Complex and major renovation to H.A. Chapman Stadium.
TU is 75th among national doctoral universities in U. S. News & World Report's 2012 edition of America's Best Colleges. TU's 2011 freshman class had a mean cumulative grade point average of 3.8, and 74 percent graduated in the top 10 percent of their high school classes. Their average ACT was 28.
The Golden Hurricane Club, as the primary fundraising arm of TU Athletics, works to provide every TU student-athlete with the opportunity to realize a world-class athletic and academic experience.
AT TULSA - A three-year letterwinner . . . has participated in 26 career regattas.
JUNIOR (2010-11) - Participated in 10 regattas . . . helped the Collegiate 4+ `A' earn a gold medal in a time of 1:46.90 and the Collegiate 8+ post a sixth-place time of 1:41.50 in the Grand Final Sprints at the Head of the Oklahoma . . . at the Head of the Hooch, recorded a third-place mark in the Open 8+ and a fourth-place finish in the Championship 4+ . . . posted second-place finishes in the Varsity 8+ Grand Final at both the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship and the San Diego Crew Classic . . . at the Conference USA Championship, registered a fifth-place mark in the Varsity 8+ Grand Final.
SOPHOMORE (2009-10) - Participated in nine regattas . . . at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship, assisted the Second Varsity 8+ to a fourth-place Grand Final finish . . . earned a fifth-place mark in the Collegiate 1x and a bronze medal in the Collegiate 2x at the USRowing Championship.
FRESHMAN (2008-09) - Rowed in seven regattas . . . captured a silver medal in the Single at the Wichita Frostbite and turned in a sixth-place performance at the Head of the Oklahoma . . . helped the Novice 8+ earn a gold medal and the Open 2x `B' claim a bronze medal at the Wichita Frostbite . . . earned a gold medal in the Varsity 4+ `A' and a silver medal in the 3rd Varsity 8+ at the Lawless Cup . . . in the Varsity 4+, claimed a gold medal at the Knecht Cup, and silver medals at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship and Midwest Intercollegiate Rowing Championship.
PRIOR TO TULSA - Registered 42 top-10 finishes in her prep career at the Dayton Rowing Club . . . finished 13th in a field of 73 in the Single at the 126th Royal Canadian Henley . . . captured gold medals in the Single at the 2008 Michigan Invitational, 2006 Ohio Governors Cup and 2005 Columbus Crew Classic . . . also claimed gold medals in the Four at the 2008 Ohio Governors Cup and in the Eight at the 2007 Midwest Master Championship . . . has been a figure skater for 15 years at the South Dayton Figure Skating Club, and a synchronized skater for 10 years at the Oxford Skating Club.
PERSONAL - An elementary education major . . . born February 1, 1990 . . . daughter of Neal and Annette Holtvogt . . . was named to the Tulsa Athletic Director's Honor Roll and picked up C-USA All-Academic honors as a freshman, sophomore and junior.
