Former TU rower Arielle Tillou will serve as graduate assistant
Natasha Ostopovich is in her first year as an assistant coach with the Tulsa rowing team after spending the last two seasons as a graduate assistant.
As a graduate assistant, Ostopovich helped coach the 3V8 to a bronze medal finish at the C-USA Championships in 2014, while working primarily with walk-ons and freshmen. She was also able to complete her thesis on Division I student-athletes and how they define and set goals, which earned her a master's degree in educational studies.
Ostopovich was a four-year letterwinner at Washington State University, where she rowed in the Varsity 8+ and Second Varsity 8+ throughout her career. She helped the Second Varsity 8+ record an eighth-place finish at the 2008 and 2011 NCAA Championships, and post a ninth-place performance in 2010.
A native of Ontario, Canada, Ostopovich earned her bachelor's degree in kinesiology, health and fitness teaching in 2012 from Washington State.
