Since the opening of the Donald W. Reynolds Center in 1998, Tulsa’s athletic facilities have undergone a major facelift. New facilities include the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, the Collins Family Softball Complex, the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, the J. Bird Sr. Shell Nest, the Jack Zink Indoor Rowing Center, the Case Athletic Complex and major renovation to H.A. Chapman Stadium.
TU is 75th among national doctoral universities in U. S. News & World Report's 2012 edition of America's Best Colleges. TU's 2011 freshman class had a mean cumulative grade point average of 3.8, and 74 percent graduated in the top 10 percent of their high school classes. Their average ACT was 28.
The Golden Hurricane Club, as the primary fundraising arm of TU Athletics, works to provide every TU student-athlete with the opportunity to realize a world-class athletic and academic experience.
AT TULSA - A four-year letterwinner . . . participated in 31 career regattas.
SENIOR (2011-12) - Participated in seven regattas . . . assisted the Varsity 4+ to wins over Kansas State and Central Oklahoma at the Oklahoma Invitational . . . raced the Second Varsity 8+ to a top mark at the Lawless Cup . . . at the C-USA Championship, earned a sixth-place Grand Final finish in the Second Varsity 8+.
JUNIOR (2010-11) - Participated in seven regattas . . . helped the Collegiate 8+ post a sixth-place time of 1:41.50 in the Grand Final Sprints at the Head of the Oklahoma.
SOPHOMORE (2009-10) - Participated in nine regattas . . . helped the Open 8+ earn a bronze medal at the Head of the Hooch . . . at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship, assisted the Second Varsity 8+ to a fourth-place Grand Final finish.
FRESHMAN (2008-09) - Rowed in eight regattas . . . claimed a gold medal in the Novice 4+ at the Head of the Oklahoma . . . at the Wichita Frostbite, earned a gold medal in the Novice 4+ and Novice 8+ . . . in the Novice 8+, captured a gold medal at the Lawless Cup, a silver medal at the Midwest Intercollegiate Rowing Championships and a bronze medal at the Knecht Cup.
PRIOR TO TULSA - Was a two-year letterwinner in rowing at Nicolet High School and three-year rower for the Milwaukee Rowing Club Juniors . . . finished third in the Varsity 8+ at the 126th Royal Canadian Henley as a senior.
PERSONAL - An English and education major . . . born June 1, 1990 . . . daughter of David and Noreen Wynn . . . was named to the TU Athletic Director's Honor Roll as a freshman, and to the Dean's List as a sophomore, junior and senior . . . was tabbed to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll all four years . . . was a CRCA National Scholar Athlete as a sophomore, junior and senior.
In eight years as a member of Conference USA, Tulsa athletic teams have won a league-best 48 conference championships.
