Tulsa's Lightweight 8+ concluded the season with a second-place Petite Final finish at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championship on Sunday morning in Mercer County, New Jersey.

TU's Angela Metzler, Jamie Roloff, Lindsay Crute, Marissa Catalanotto, Colleen Wohlrab, Emalia Seto, Abigail Elggren, Jessica LeafMeeker and Mary Kowalchyk turned in a time of 6:58.82. The Golden Hurricane finished five seconds behind MIT (6:53.13) and seven seconds ahead of Georgetown (7:05.02).

"Coach Rodney Mott is the Lightweight coach and he did a fantastic job getting them ready for this race," Head Coach Kevin Harris said. "The women posted one of the fastest times all year and they raced really well. They got off to a great start and took an early lead, but MIT came back and pushed through. This regatta is crucial for building the Lightweight program and I am really optimistic with what is to come with this team."
