Tulsa Rowers Concluded Fall Slate at Head of the Hooch Today

Chattanooga, Tenn. - The Tulsa rowers concluded the fall slate today at the Head of the Hooch Regatta on the Tennessee River in Chattanooga, Tenn. TU raced nine boats in four events. "I thought it was a solid day," Head Coach Kevin Harris said. "The Lightweights did a great job, especially Marissa as she finished second. The four of them have been battling it out all fall to see who was fastest, which will only help maker our Lightweights faster. Our Pairs also had a great day, and we tried several different combinations in our Open Eights. We are going to come back to Tulsa and start working on things to get faster for the spring." Marissa Catalanotto turned in a second-place time of 20:56.1 in the Lightweight 1x, while Jamie Roloff was fourth with a time of 21:04.8. Colleen Wohlrab and Jasmine McGill were fifth and seventh, respectively. Zoe Fleischmann posted a 12th-place time of 21:20.3 in the Championship 1x. In the Open 2-, Meredith Papps and Megan Fitzpatrick combined for a 15th-place mark, Amanda Ames and Puja Sztorc were 21st overall, and Alana Bobka and Alexandra Guth finished 28th.
The Golden Hurricane also raced three boats in the Open 8+, as the Tulsa `A' boat captured a sixth-place mark with a time of 17:21.2. The `B' boat was 19th and the `C' boat was 27th in times of 18:05.0 and 18:39.0, respectively.
