Tulsa Rowers Conclude Fall Campaign Today at Head of the Hooch

Chattanooga, Tenn. - The Tulsa rowing team concluded the 2011 fall campaign today at the Head of the Hooch Regatta on the Tennessee River in Chattanooga, Tenn. TU raced in the Single, Pair and Open 8+ today. "Overall I am very pleased with our results," Head Coach Kevin Harris said. "We put together some solid rows and we are excited to go into winter training knowing we made some big strides this fall. I am very proud of the team and we are ready to get faster and are looking forward to the spring season." Jamie Roloff, a freshman from Richboro, Pa., raced a Lightweight 1x to a third-place finish with a time of 20:33.6 in a field of 10 boats. "It was a great race for Jamie," Harris said. "We are really proud of her as a team for representing Tulsa in such a great way." In the Open 8+, TU's `A' boat captured a sixth-place finish with a time of 17:12.8, while the `B' boat was 13th and the `C' boat was 21st in a field of 32 boats. The Golden Hurricane also raced five boats in the Open 2-, including Jessica Fosdyck and Katie Holtvogt, which turned in a sixth-place time of 20:01.1. Lightweight 1x (10 boats) 1.
