Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Tulsa rowers are set to race this Saturday and Sunday, March 31 and April 1, at the San Diego Crew Classic in San Diego, Calif. TU will compete in the Varsity 4+, Varsity 8+, Second Varsity 8+ and Lightweight 8+. The Golden Hurricane Lightweight 8+ was ranked seventh in the latest USRowing collegiate poll, which was announced earlier this week.

"The San Diego Crew Classic is one of the largest regattas in the country featuring the majority of the top-20 teams in the nation," Head Coach Kevin Harris said. "It is a great opportunity to race teams we don't normally see and it allows us the opportunity to show that Tulsa rowing is becoming a national-level team. The team is really excited for the races and is looking forward to putting on a great show for our fans and alumni."

TU will take on league teams, including Kansas State, Oklahoma, SMU, Tennessee and Texas, as well as Sacramento State, UC Davis, Villanova, Virginia, Princeton, Washington and Stanford to name a few.
