Tulsa Women's Rowing to Compete at SIRA's This Weekend

Golden Hurricane to race in five events

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The University of Tulsa women's rowing team will compete at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association (SIRA) Championships this Saturday and Sunday, April 18-19, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. TU is scheduled to race in the Novice 4+, Varsity 4+, Novice 8+, Lightweight 8+ and Varsity 8+.

This year's regatta will feature crews from Alabama, SMU, Purdue, Indiana, Oklahoma, Kansas, Kansas State, Louisville, West Virginia, Ohio State, Georgia Tech and many others.

TU's 10th-ranked Lightweight 8+ will look to take on 13th-ranked Ohio State and Georgia Tech, which is receiving votes, at the SIRA's.

The Novice 4+ will compete for its second-straight gold medal at the regatta, while the Varsity 4+ hopes to build on last weekend's success and claim a third gold medal this season.
