Tulsa, Oklahoma - Tulsa women's rowing team member Vanessa Andrews has been named to the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-America Women's At-Large first team, as announced today by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

A senior from Davis, Calif., Andrews picked up Academic All-District VI team accolades earlier this season, and earned the same honor last year, as well as All-America third team recognition.

Andrews has maintained a 4.0 GPA in geosciences. She was named a Barry M. Goldwater Scholar and a CRCA National Scholar Athlete as a junior and senior, and has been twice selected as a Conference USA Academic Medalist.

Andrews has participated in nearly every regatta during her collegiate career, and has been an integral part of the Varsity 8+ this spring and helped TU's Club Four to an 11th-place finish at the Head of the Charles last fall.
