Tulsa Names Rosemary Tran as Assistant Rowing Coach

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa has named Rosemary Tran as assistant women's rowing coach, as announced today by rowing coach Jason Coffman.
Tran comes to Tulsa from Smith College, in Northhampton, Massachusetts, where she has spent the past three years as an assistant rowing coach. During her tenure at Smith College, she assisted in coaching the novice and varsity crews. Smith coached three boats to Grand Finals at the New England Rowing Championships and medalled two boats at the New England Rowing Regatta and the Champion International Regatta. She was on the membership committee for the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) during the 1999-2000 season.
At Smith College as an undergraduate rower, Tran was the varsity captain for two years earning team MVP honors in 1997 and 1998. She was also named to the NEW 8 all-conference team. As a collegiate rower she participated on the novice squad for one season and the varsity team for three years.
Tran received her bachelors degree in chemistry in May of 1998 and her masters degree in exercise and sport studies in May of 2001, both from Smith College.
