Tulsa, Oklahoma - The University of Tulsa women's rowing team will take to the water for the first time this season at the Boot of the Oklahoma on Saturday, Oct. 3rd. Racing will commence at 8:30 a.m. at the Exchange Boathouse on the Oklahoma River with the 4,000-meter collegiate races followed by the OGE Stampede Sprints set to begin at 4:00 p.m.

"The girls are excited for the opportunity to show what we've accomplished so far this season," Head Coach Kevin Harris said. "We will take on some tough regional competition and it will be good to see where we fit."

The Golden Hurricane will be joined by host Oklahoma City, Central Oklahoma, Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas and SMU to name a few. TU will compete in the Single, Double, Lightweight Double, Novice 4+, Collegiate 4+, Novice 8+ and Collegiate 8+.

TU won the Novice 4+ and Novice 8+ events last year at the regatta, and this season's novices will work hard to keep that trend going.
