The University of Tulsa women's rowing team squared off with various University and club teams from across the midwest in the Head of the Rock regatta. The race was held in Rockford, Illinois on October 8 and covered 2.75 miles.

The varsity boats faired well in the meet. Out of 24 skulls, the Varsity-4 boat placed eighth with a time of 18:23.53. The Varsity-8 squad finished sixth out of a total 20 boats, with a time of 16:03.77.

The Novice-8 boats finished in fifth-place with a time of 18:48.41 and 17th place in a time of 20:01:38. The Novice-4 crew placed eighth out of a total of 15 boats with a time of 20:27.10.

The next competition for the varsity women will be in Boston, Massachusetts at the Head of the Charles regatta. The event will take place over a two-day period, October 21-22.
