Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa women's rowing team will compete in the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta on Saturday-Sunday, October 21-22, in Boston, Mass. The Golden Hurricane will race in the Club 4+, Lightweight 4+ and Championship 4+ events.

The 42nd Annual Head of the Charles Regatta, which draws more than 300,000 people, is the world's largest regatta and features 7,500 athletes in 26 different events. The Head of the Charles committee selects the teams that will compete at the "Invitation Only" regatta, giving Tulsa the opportunity the race against some of the best teams in the nation.

Last season, TU earned a fifth-place mark in a time of 19:54.14 in the Championship 4+ and captured a time of 19:58.80 for a 12th-place finish in the Club 4+. This year the Golden Hurricane will look to post strong marks in all three events to earn an automatic spot in next year's regatta.
